Mother Apostle Callie Mae Jasper
Mother Apostle Callie Mae Jasper is a woman who possesses the heart of God. Filled with the compassion and love of Christ, she exemplifies the true nature of what we were created to be - HOLY. Standing wholeheartedly on the Word of God as the definitive blueprint for how life should be lived, Mother Apostle, as she is affectionately known, is dedicated to resuscitating a dying world by breathing the Word of life into its lungs.
Born in Bennettsville, South Carolina, Mother Apostle Jasper moved to Brooklyn, New York at the age of nine where she was raised in a church where women preachers were unheard of. Because of this, she fought the call on her life to preach even though she heard the voice of the Lord telling her to do so. "I had never experienced the move of the Holy Spirit the way I did on that day. He called my name three times, "Callie, Callie, Callie' as He told me I was to preach the gospel," says Mother Apostle. "I said no because of fear. Women preacher were rare in those days. Then I heard the Holy Spirit say, 'obedience is better than sacrifice'. That was the first time I had heard that scripture and that was the Word that convinced me it was best to submit to God's plan for my life."
Upholding her commitment to God, Mother Apostle began preaching the Word of God under the pastorship of the late Lola Handberry. During her tutelage under Pastor Handberry, she served as Assistant Pastor of the Mt. Sinai Pentecostal Gospel Tabernacle and a few years later she was called to pastor. This call to pastor eventually led her to establish Holy City Faith and Deliverance Ministry, Center of Love, which is founded on the biblical principal of "love one to another". "Holy City is a ministry for people who aren't wanted or loved anywhere else," says Mother Apostle Jasper. "They are the black sheep, the one's you think will never amount to anything. I take them and love them with the love of Christ and show them who they are in God. They are nurtured and raised to be spiritual leaders, transformed into great men and women of God with vision." Holy City operates in the prophetic and is a ministry of complete deliverance and healing. Mother Apostle has birthed many sons and daughters as apostles to initiate and oversee the workings of spreading the Good News of Christ. The people of Holy City and its Covenant Churches are God's secret weapons. These churches are made up of men and women living holy uncompromising lives for God by following the example of Christ in their leader.
Understanding the importance of vision, Mother Apostle's goal is to see the universal leadership of the body of Christ come together in total unity, putting aside differences in doctrine and denomination in order to obtain what is really important... the salvation of souls. She is a woman of character and integrity and has chosen to lead a lifestyle in which she emulates what she preaches. "The best way to lead is by example," says Mother Apostle. "Not only do I preach and teach holiness, but I live it. My life is one of transparency and anyone who looks into it will see that it is possible to serve God without compromise."
Mother Apostle Jasper is the natural mother of Apostle Jeffrey Jasper and the spiritual mother of many sons and daughters. In 1997 she was bestowed with rank and authority from God and appointed as Apostle over the Holy City Covenant Churches, International located throughout the United States and she actively pastors Holy City Ministries located in Brooklyn, New York. She is also the author of "Take Off The Mask" and is in the process of writing her autobiography.
